“I usually claim that pregnant women should not read books about pregnancy and birth. Their time is too precious. They should, rather, watch the moon and sing to their baby in the womb.”

Who is Doula Douce?

Sarah
Before choosing to embrace birth-keeping and post-partum care, Sarah spent the first 10 years of her work life exploring the arts and design. She then switched to the world of IT and corporations, while welcoming NonViolent Communication in her life. NVC helped her recognize a deep calling: protecting natural processes and being of support for those experiencing them. Offering her ear, her hand if needed, and holding space. Being the advocate of women in the vulnerable moments of the perinatal period, pregnancy, birth, the post-partum period, but also the times where, sadly, death meets birth.
Protecting the birth of a mother, who will be bringing a new soul to our world, traveling in themselves to find the unapologetic power that will show them the dance they need to lead... Protecting this process and serving the needs of parents throughout their transformation and throughout they journey is how Sarah hopes to contribute to a better world.
A world in which each choice a birthing person, a young parent makes is respected. A world in which each life is held in love
and peace.
