What to expect from the 3-day online conference/Paramanadoula cursus?
After the three days, you will know important information about the physiology of birth, pregnancy, hormones, birth, breastfeeding. Depending on the interests of the participants, we’ll also discuss induction, food and needs during pregnancy, the use of echography…
This course is suited for all, doulas, mothers, women, men, partners, parents and non-parents, medical professions, and will bring beautiful insights on how to best support a pregnant or birthing person.

Who is Michel Odent?
Michel Odent was in charge of the surgical and maternity units of the Pithiviers hospital (France) from 1962 to 1985. After 1985 he settled in London and assisted home births. He was the first to introduce to the medical world concepts such as birthing pools during labour, the support of breastfeeding during the hour following birth, or singing sessions for pregnant women. He founded The Primal Health Research center (London) and brings together scientific studies showing the links between what happens early in life and health later on.
Michel Odent is also the author of more than 50 scientific papers, as well as 15 books, translated in 22 languages. His latest book, Planet Ocean: Our Mysterious Connections to Water, was published in May 2021.

Who is Liliana Lammers?
Liliana was born in Buenos Aires. She is the mother of 4 children, 3 of them born at home, and grandmother of 4. She was first a teacher and later became a doula (paramanadoula), attending births in tandem with Michel Odent. She is now a doula since 21 years, and has been at more than 400 births, hospital births as well home births. Together with Michel, they offer doula courses/birth & pregnancy seminars throughout Europe.

What is the program of the three days?
~ From 10h00 till 17h30, with a 1h30 lunch break (approx. from 13h00 till 14h30), as well as a tea break in the morning, and in the afternoon
~ The time zone is: Amsterdam, CET time zone, UTC/GMT +1 hour
~ Michel Odent will be talking on the mornings + the whole last day.
Topics covered by Dr Michel Odent include: Birth physiology, first aid in obstetrics, birth with labour and birth without labour, the use of water during labour, induction of labour, the presence of the father at birth, premature rupture of membranes, first hour following birth, ...and much more. Most topics are introduced by the participants as the course is given, for it's majority, in a Q&A format .~ In the afternoons Liliana Lammers will be sharing with us her 22 years of experience as a doula in London, with her storytelling talent, and her practical insights on how to best protect births.
The normal fee is 340€. The Early Bird fee is 290€ (you can get the early bird pricing until 09/09/22).

The online version will come with a replay, with the possibility to write ask your question(s) live during the conference (if you have do you have questions) and introduce yourselves to Michel and Liliana ahead of time. They'll do their best to answer as many of the questions asked as possible within the time frame we'll have.

In the unfortunate event of a health issue on the teachers side, making it impossible for them to give the course on the scheduled date, the event will be postponed and the participants will be offered a 10% discount as a compensation for the unexpected change of dates. The access to the replay will also be extended by 1 month. Should the teacher(s) health make it impossible to reschedule, the participants will be offered access to the recordings of the 3 previous editions of the course, to watch at their own pace, over the period of 6 months, as well as a refund of 30% of their registration fee.
